In a new
expansison of the LADE educatioanl activities,
over two hours Salem Beshyah reviewed “the modern OPD management of
diabetes: from life style to inslun@ and Dr Kamal Abouglila covered the acute
diabetic emergencies. The two lectures were followed by an interactive
discussion before the delegates break for a rich mid morning break proveded geneously by Dr Salem Saghar, the
Commandor of the Meitiga General Hospital.

In
the evening lecture, a msterly overview of the insulin pump therapy was
delivered by Dr. Mahmoud Benbarka of the SKMC, UAE
whuch
was follwed by a panel discusion. The panelists were Professor Ibrahim Sherif, Dr
Mahmoud Benbaraka, Professor Sulieman Abousrewil and Dr. Kamal Abouglila.
On
the next morning 25 selected consultants and specialists were invited for a
wokshop.
